I don't freakin' believe it.
Ok, I have been wanting the make the Twisty Turns wrap from Wrap Style for quite a long time. Last winter, or maybe even last fall, I ordered seven balls of Andean Silk in Pitch from Knit Picks. Since I've been finishing up projects, I dug out the book and yarn and realized I ordered way too little yarn. So, off the the Internet to order more yarn. I delayed casting on, knowing how hard it is to match black. I planned on knitting a couple of rows with an old ball, a couple with a new one, et cetera, like you do with handdyeds. Anyway, the box came today, and I'm holding a new ball up next to an old one under a very bright light, and they look really, really close. Turns out they are all the same dyelot. Get. Out.

I LOVE that! A while back I bought two skeins of a alpaca, a brand I had never seen before - a beautiful fuschia and a dark teal, on a whim, on a vacation, but didn't have a clue what I would use them for. Later, I found a pattern for some wristwarmers in IW Knits, and thought - hey maybe that alpaca I bought will do - turns out it was the exact same yarn, exact same colors!
