I had hoped to be onto a new sweater already, but my job is starting to take over precious knitting time. I have cut the front and neckline steeks on the Fair Isle Cardigan, and picked up stitches for and knit the neckband. I used the i-cord bind off on the neckband edge, just as I did for the sleeve cuffs, and am totally in love with the finished look it gives the cardi!
Last night I picked up stitches for the left button band and knit the first row. I plan to use the i-cord bind off on the button bands too. In fact, I'm thinking of picking up stitches around the bottom ribbing and putting an i-cord there as well. (I guess that would be applied i-cord?) I don't think it would add any bulk, since it would be a 3-stitch i-cord on size 3 needles. Plus, it would solve my rolling problem, and give a nicely finished edge.
I'm not sure how much knitting time I'll get this weekend, as tomorrow is Monkeyboy's birthday, and we have a bunch of friends and family coming over. I think the last count was 22 adults and 11 kids. Tonight will be spent picking up cake and ice cream, food for lunch, cleaning house, putting together goody bags for the kids, etc. The theme is Cars. I made him hold off on the Star Wars theme - I see an abundance of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker birthday parties in my future, and I just wanted to put it off for one more year.

Totally know what you mean about the job cutting into knitting time - I'm experiencing the same thing! How dare they, really? Oh well, I guess we need to work to support our yarn habits.
The cardi looks awesome! I am completely in awe of all that fair isle!
Hope Monkeyboy had a fab birthday! Don't get too worn out on work!
Wow! That looks amazing so far.
