I started a new pair of socks right after I finished the Jaywalkers. One of them is finished completely, and the other is in progress. This picture was taken a few days ago , when I was just about to start the gusset increases. I noticed a little something strange near the toe of the second sock. Anyone see it?
Check out the close up.
Yep, that's a dropped stitch, discovered about 40 rows or so after dropping. I ended up dropping the one next to it, and used two crochet hooks to pick both of them back up . The resulting fabric is a little firm in that area, but it beats frogging back nearly to the beginning of the sock.

Holy cow you are a genius to be able to fix that!!! I had my OWN little dropped stitch problem show up today, and I almost ripped all my hair out... I even blogged about it, it was horrible. I'm still having nightmares.
This post made me feel less guilty about doing the same thing with a pair of socks last year!
Are you a toe-up girl?
TJ - I'm still a fairly new sock knitter (I think this is my 3rd or 4th pair), so I'm exploring different methods, different heels & toes. I've done toe up on the last two pair and really like it. I guess I like the security of knowing I won't run out of yarn before I finish the second sock :)
... I've really enjoyed having a proper read of your blog. You're talented!!! I love the pictures of the many beautiful things you've made. I've nearly finished compiling a (long) list of questions for you. They mostly need one word answers but will help me plan your surprises. Will get back to you really soon.
