Good Times

My husband and I have a really tight knit group of friends, and we used to get together every Sunday night for dinner. It was a great way to end the weekend / start off the week. Then we all started having kids and it got too hard to go out with 8-14 adults, X number of high chairs, and umpteen toddlers running around. I was talking with a good friend at work last week, and we decided to get together this weekend and make homemade pasta (a first for both of us). She volunteered her boyfriend to make the sauce - he's Italian, and learned to make sauce from his grandfather. It turned into one of the Sunday night dinners, with eight adults, a three year old, two year old, 14 month old, six month old and five month old. It was so much fun! I love having a house full of laughing friends and happy kids! The fettucine was a lot easier to make than I thought, and Jeff's sauce was out of this world (he started cooking it on Saturday)! It was just one of those get togethers, those meals, that you'll remember for the rest of your life. I love my family, and I love my friends :)
